Mr. Soonjeong Kwon retired from the prosecution after 23 years of service, with his final position being the Director of the Suwon High Prosecutor's Office. In November 2025, he joined GAON LAW GROUP as a partner attorney and the head of the Criminal Law Division. During his tenure at the prosecution, Mr. Kwon held key positions in the Ministry of Justice, including Director of the Prosecutor's Office, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office, and Spokesperson for the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office. He gained exceptional expertise and extensive experience in both investigations and legal administration. Mr. Kwon worked at various district prosecutor offices, including the Financial and Tax Investigation Division, the Advanced Crimes Investigation Division, the Special Investigations Division, and the Criminal Division. He handled major cases in diverse fields, including securities and financial crimes, corporate corruption, public office corruption, advanced technology and trade secret leaks, intellectual property infringements, and large-scale biotechnology cases.
Beyond his expertise in criminal law, Mr. Kwon is recognized as a specialist with a broad understanding and insight into civil, commercial, family, and immigration law, as well as legal administration. He is highly regarded for his ability to accurately identify the essence of a case and propose strategic, comprehensive solutions.
